Portfolio & Device Registration Fixed

Critical bug fixes for card additions and push notifications

Portfolio & Device Registration Fixed

Hey everyone! 👋

I wanted to give you a quick update on some important fixes I just deployed to the Mint API.

Some of you may have experienced issues when trying to add multiple cards to your portfolio or register devices for push notifications. I've identified and fixed the root cause of these problems.

Portfolio Cards: You can now add multiple cards to your portfolio without encountering database errors
Device Registration: Push notification setup now works correctly when registering multiple devices

These bugs were caused by a UUID generation issue that only appeared when adding a second card or device. The first addition would succeed, but subsequent ones would fail with a duplicate key error.

What You Need to Do:

The fixes are already live on the API server! If you encountered these errors:

• Try adding cards to your portfolio again - it should work now
• Re-register your devices for push notifications if needed (simply force-close the app and re-open)
• Everything should work smoothly going forward

I apologize for any inconvenience these bugs may have caused. As we're still in the early days of launch (just 2 days in!), we're working hard to squash any issues as they come up.

If you still notice any weirdness going on, don't hesitate to reach out to me at josh@getmint.app :)

Thank you for your patience and for being early adopters of Mint! 🙏

– Josh
