About Mint

Mint (listed on the App Store as Trading Card Scanner - Mint) is a collection tracker for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. You point the camera at a card, or at a whole page of cards, and Mint identifies each one, adds it to your collection and shows what it sells for right now on CardMarket in euros and on TCGPlayer in US dollars. It is free to download on iPhone and iPad running iOS 26 or later; Mint Pro ($6.99 a month, $39.99 a year or $59.99 for lifetime access) removes the free tier's limits.

What Mint does

• Scans cards. Single-card scan for one card at a time, or Deck Sweep™, which recognizes every card in one photo of a binder page or a spread of cards. Card names are matched in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Dutch, and set codes such as 30C, MEG or PBL are read from the card itself.
• Tracks prices daily for more than 21,000 cards across 176 sets, from Base Set (1999) to 30th Celebration (September 2026). Every card shows the lowest CardMarket listing (EUR), the TCGPlayer market price (USD) and, where available, PSA 9 and PSA 10 graded sale prices.
• Values your collection. Portfolio value, cost basis and return on investment, with a price history you can view from one day to one year, plus daily snapshots so the chart keeps filling in.
• Alerts you. Price alerts on singles and on sealed products such as Elite Trainer Boxes and booster boxes, delivered as push notifications.
• Organizes. Binders with custom names, set completion percentages, Pokédex completion across all sets, and a wishlist of cards you are still hunting.
• Estimates condition. An AI grading assistant looks at photos of a card and estimates the grade it might receive, so you can decide whether it is worth sending to PSA or CGC.

Where the data comes from

Mint does not sell cards and does not invent prices. Market prices are collected from CardMarket (Europe) and TCGPlayer (United States), graded prices from completed eBay sales, the card catalogue from TCGGO, and localized card and set names from the open TCGdex database. Prices refresh at least once a day; the exact timestamp is printed on every card page on this site.

Who makes it

Mint is designed and built by Joshua Dessol, an independent developer and designer in Stuttgart, Germany, and released under the name Joshua Dessol Design. It is a one-person project: the same person answers support email, writes the release notes and draws the icons. Mint launched on the App Store on October 18, 2025 and ships updates every few weeks; version 1.9 (September 2026) added support for iOS 27 and the 30th Celebration set on its release day.
